Retro 8 is a collection of twelve original games inspired by the home computers of the early 80s – big pixels, chiptune sounds and a high-score table.

The games:

• Star Hornets – a swaying hornet swarm sinks towards the hive; your beekeeper drone puffs smoke from under floating honeycombs.
• Brick Buster – 20 walls, power capsules, multi-ball and a laser.
• Byte Worm – eat the bytes, grow longer and don't bite yourself.
• Maze Muncher – four glitches chase you, each in its own way; a power cell turns the tables.
• Lunar Drop – fuel, speed and angle; touch down gently on the pad.
• Rock Storm – a drifting ship, splitting space rocks and a wraparound screen.
• Duck Crossing – cars, logs and turtles on the way to the nest.
• Block Cascade – seven falling shapes; complete the rows.
• Girder Climb – rolling barrels, ladders and a robot pal to rescue.
• Bug Blaster – a long caterpillar that splits in the mushroom patch.
• The Lighthouse Secret – a text adventure in English and Hebrew.
• Tank Duel – against the computer or a friend on the same device.

Pick your computer: "Blue Basic" with a blue screen and a flashing cursor, "Rubber Keys" with a striped loading border, "Beige Console" with a cartridge screen, or the monochrome "Green Phosphor". Switch on old-TV scanlines and glow.

On-screen joystick and fire buttons, swipes and taps, keyboard and gamepad; portrait and landscape. Pause any time, difficulty levels, achievements, statistics and score sharing. And on the blue screen there is a hidden READY prompt for typing little BASIC programs.

All games, characters, graphics and sounds were made for this app. Works offline, no ads, no purchases.

Fixed: the "Check for updates automatically" and "Share anonymous usage statistics" switches in Settings turn off and on again
