מה ציירתי?! (What Did I Draw?!) is made by Magmanet for families. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: your data stays on your devices, and we collect nothing.
We don't collect anything. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it collects no usage statistics. We never see, sell or share your data.
Settings, the player names you type for "One phone" games, your family's own word list and the drawings from finished games ("My drawings") are saved only on your device, in the app's private storage. They are removed when you uninstall the app.
"Play with friends" connects phones in the same room directly: over the local Wi-Fi network (or one phone's hotspot), or, if a grown-up turns on "Also use Bluetooth" (Android, off by default), over a direct Bluetooth / Wi-Fi Direct link using Google Nearby Connections. No internet is needed and nothing goes to us or to any server.
What travels between the phones in the game, and nowhere else: the display name and emoji avatar each player chooses, the drawing as it is drawn, the secret word (to the drawer, and to players once they guess it), and scores. Typed guesses are sent only to the host phone, which checks them; they are never shown to the other players. There is no chat. Nothing is kept after the game except the drawings in "My drawings" on each phone.
Apart from the local connection between phones, the app works entirely offline. The only time it goes online is the update check. Once a day the app checks for a newer version by asking the Magmanet server (EU, Contabo) — the request contains only the app name, its version number and how it was installed (site/Google Play); the server counts checks per app and version in aggregate, stores no identifiers and no IP address; if the server is unavailable the app downloads the public version file from GitHub Pages instead (GitHub may see your IP address). The check carries no identifiers and nothing about your child or your device. If a newer version exists, the app shows a notice, and the Update button asks a grown-up first. You can turn the check off in Settings ("Check for updates automatically").
The app requests no camera, microphone, contacts or storage access. Saving a picture to the photo gallery uses Android's media store and needs no storage permission.
מה ציירתי?! is designed for children. It contains no ads, no in-app purchases, no chat or social features and no links out of the app (except the update download link, which is behind a grown-up gate), and it collects no personal information from anyone, including children. Multiplayer happens only between phones in the same room. The grown-ups area, saving pictures to the phone and sharing pictures are behind a grown-up gate.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and publish the new version at the same address.
