Privacy Policy — פסל! (Freeze Dance)

Last updated: 2026-10-19

פסל! (Freeze Dance) is made by Magmanet. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: your data stays on your device, and we collect nothing.

What we collect

We don't collect anything. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it collects no usage statistics. We never see, sell or share your data.

Where your data is stored

The app's settings (language, sounds, game options), the single-phone dancer names you type, and this phone's motion-sensor calibration are saved only on your device, in the app's private storage. They are removed when you uninstall the app.

The Copy backup feature (in the grown-ups area, behind the parent gate) copies these settings as text to your clipboard; the app never uploads it.

The motion sensor

During a game the app reads the phone's accelerometer and gyroscope to notice whether the dancer moved during a freeze. The readings are processed on the phone, are never stored and never leave it. In a game with friends, only the result ("moved" or "still") for each freeze is sent to the host phone in the same room. No permission is needed for these sensors.

Playing with friends nearby

"Play with friends" connects phones in the same room directly: over the local Wi-Fi network, or, if a grown-up turns on "Also use Bluetooth", over a direct Bluetooth / Wi-Fi Direct link (Google Nearby Connections). The phones exchange only what the game needs: the nickname and emoji avatar each player chose, the game options, round times, "moved / still" results, hearts and points. Nothing goes through a server, nothing reaches us, and nothing is kept after the game. There is no chat.

Android asks for location permission before Bluetooth discovery on some versions. It is requested only if Bluetooth play is turned on, and the app never reads, stores or sends your location.

Internet use

The game works without internet. The only time it goes online is the update check: once a day the app asks the Magmanet server (EU, Contabo) whether a newer version exists. The request contains only the app name, its version number and how it was installed (website / Google Play); the server counts checks per app and version in aggregate and stores no identifiers and no IP address. If the server is unavailable, the app downloads the public version file from GitHub Pages instead (GitHub may see your IP address, as with any download). The download button for an update is behind the parent gate. You can turn the check off in the grown-ups area ("Check for updates automatically").

Permissions

Children

פסל! is designed for children and families. It contains no ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts, no chat and no links out of the app (except the update download link, which is behind a parent gate), and it collects no personal information from anyone, including children. The settings are behind a parent gate. Nicknames used in a nearby game are seen only by the players in the same room.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and publish the new version at the same address.
