Hebrew Dates keeps a personal list of birthdays, memorial days and anniversaries by Hebrew date, and can remind you before each one. Everything it saves stays on your phone.

What the app stores, and where

• The list you enter (names, kinds of date, Hebrew and Gregorian dates, your chosen customs and notes) is stored only in the app's private storage on your phone. It is excluded from Android's automatic cloud backup.
• Notifications. If you turn a reminder on, it is scheduled locally on your phone. The notification permission is asked only then.

None of this is ever sent to us or to anyone else. The app has no account and no server for your data.

What leaves the phone

• Anonymous usage statistics (screens used and simple counters, with a random install ID) help us improve the app. They never include names, dates or notes. You can turn them off in Settings.
• The daily update check asks our website whether a newer version exists.
• Sharing. If you tap "Share", the text of that one date goes only to the app and person you choose.
• Backup. "Copy backup" in Settings copies your data as text to the clipboard; where you paste it is up to you.

Not a halachic ruling

Customs vary between communities. The app shows the rule it uses and its source. For the date you should keep, ask your rabbi or follow your family's custom.

Deleting your data

Delete a date in the app. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored.

Children

The app is not directed at children.

מה נשמר, ואיפה

• הרשימה שאתם מזינים (שמות, סוגי תאריכים, תאריכים עבריים ולועזיים, המנהג שבחרתם והערות) נשמרת רק באחסון הפרטי של האפליקציה בטלפון. היא אינה נכללת בגיבוי האוטומטי של Android לענן.
• התראות. אם מפעילים תזכורת, היא נקבעת מקומית בטלפון. הרשאת ההתראות מתבקשת רק אז.

שום דבר מאלה לא נשלח אלינו או לאף אחד אחר. לאפליקציה אין חשבון ואין שרת לנתונים שלכם.

מה יוצא מהטלפון

• סטטיסטיקות שימוש אנונימיות (מסכים שבשימוש ומונים פשוטים, עם מזהה התקנה אקראי) עוזרות לנו לשפר את האפליקציה. הן לעולם לא כוללות שמות, תאריכים או הערות. אפשר לכבות אותן בהגדרות.
• בדיקת העדכון היומית שואלת את האתר שלנו אם יש גרסה חדשה.
• שיתוף. אם מקישים על "שיתוף", הטקסט של אותו תאריך נשלח רק לאפליקציה ולאדם שתבחרו.
• גיבוי. "העתקת גיבוי" בהגדרות מעתיקה את הנתונים כטקסט ללוח; לאן להדביק אותם זו החלטה שלכם.

אין כאן פסיקת הלכה

המנהגים שונים בין קהילות. האפליקציה מציגה את הכלל שבו היא משתמשת ואת המקור שלו. לגבי התאריך שעליכם לשמור, שאלו את הרב או לכו לפי מנהג המשפחה.

מחיקת הנתונים

מוחקים תאריך באפליקציה. הסרת האפליקציה מוחקת את כל מה שנשמר.

ילדים

האפליקציה אינה מיועדת לילדים.
