Home Maintenance keeps reminders and a service log for your home. Everything it saves stays on your phone.
What the app uses, and where it stays
- What you enter (homes, tasks, dates, costs, tradespeople's names and phone numbers, notes) is stored only in the
app's private storage on your phone. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. Android cloud backup and device
transfer are off for this app.
- Camera / gallery. When you add a photo, you take it with the camera app or pick it with the system photo picker.
A copy is saved only in the app's private folder. It is not added to your gallery and never uploaded.
- Notifications. Reminders are scheduled locally on your phone.
- Calling. "Call" opens your phone's dialer with the number. The app does not read your contacts or make calls.
What leaves the phone
- Anonymous usage statistics (screens used and simple counters, with a random install ID) help us improve the app.
They never include tasks, costs, names, phone numbers, notes or photos. You can turn them off in Settings.
- The daily update check asks our website whether a newer version exists.
- Backup file. If you tap "Backup file with photos", a zip file with all your data and photos is handed to the app
you choose (for example your own cloud drive or email). It includes tradespeople's phone numbers, so keep it private.
It is not sent to us. The text backup in Settings copies the same data, without photos, to your clipboard.
- Links. Opening a source or another of our apps opens your browser.
On iPhone, a whole-phone iCloud or computer backup can include the app's data; that is under your control in the
phone's settings.
Deleting your data
Delete a task, a job, a tradesperson or a home in the app. Restoring a backup replaces what is on the phone.
Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored.
Children
The app is not directed at children.
