Keep in Touch reminds you to stay in touch with the people who matter to you. What you enter stays on your phone. The app never uploads your contacts and never sends messages or places calls by itself.

What the app stores, and where

• People you add: names, phone numbers, groups, how often to be in touch, notes, birthdays (Gregorian and Hebrew dates) and the days you marked contact. These are stored only in the app's private storage on your phone and are never sent to us or to anyone else. There is no account and no server for this data.
• Contacts. The app has no permission to read your contacts and does not ask for one. If you tap "Choose from contacts", your phone opens its own contact list, outside the app, and the app receives only the name and phone number of the one person you pick.
• Notifications. If you turn on the daily summary, it is scheduled locally on your phone. The notification permission is asked only then. The notification can show names, and notifications can appear on the lock screen. You can turn names off in Settings.

What leaves the phone

• Anonymous usage statistics: which screens and features are used, simple counts and error type counts, with a random install ID and basic device and app details (app version, OS version, device model, language). They are sent to Magmanet's own server to improve the app. They never include names, numbers, notes, birthdays or anything you typed. You can turn them off in Settings.
• The daily update check asks our website whether a newer version exists (the Android version from our site).
• When you tap Call, WhatsApp or SMS, the phone opens that app with that person's number in a standard link (tel:, sms: or https://wa.me/). The WhatsApp link can open in a browser and reach WhatsApp's website if the app isn't installed. Only the number goes in the link, and only when you tap. From there, those apps' own terms apply. Keep in Touch can't see whether a call or message happened, so you mark it yourself.
• Backup. "Save a backup file" and "Copy backup" create a copy of your data, not encrypted, including names and numbers. The file goes only where you choose (the share sheet), and the copy goes to your clipboard, which other apps may be able to read. Keep backups somewhere private. Android's automatic cloud backup is turned off for this app.

Deleting your data

Delete a person in the app. Deleting there doesn't change your phone's contacts. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored on the phone; backup files you saved elsewhere are yours to delete. Turning statistics off deletes the install ID and any unsent statistics from the phone.

Children

The app is not directed at children.

• הקשה על שיחה, WhatsApp או מסרון פותחת את האפליקציה המתאימה עם המספר בקישור רגיל (tel:, sms: או https://wa.me/). קישור WhatsApp יכול להיפתח בדפדפן ולהגיע לאתר של WhatsApp אם האפליקציה לא מותקנת. רק המספר עובר בקישור, ורק כשאתם מקישים. לא לשכוח לא יכולה לראות אם הייתה שיחה או הודעה, ולכן אתם מסמנים בעצמכם.
