Privacy Policy — Magic Garden

Magic Garden (הגינה הקסומה / Le jardin magique) is made by Magmanet. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: your data stays on your device.

What we collect

We don't collect anything. Magic Garden has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it collects no usage statistics. We never see, sell or share your data.

Where your data is stored

The garden (plants, visitors met, decorations) and the settings are saved only on your device, in the app's private storage. They are removed when you uninstall the app.

The app's Copy backup feature (grown-ups area → Your data) copies your data as text to your clipboard, so you can keep it somewhere you choose. Where you paste it is up to you; the app never uploads it.

Internet use

Magic Garden works entirely offline. The only time it goes online is the update check. Once a day the app checks for a newer version by asking the Magmanet server (EU, Contabo) — the request contains only the app name, its version number and how it was installed (site/Google Play); the server counts checks per app and version in aggregate, stores no identifiers and no IP address; if the server is unavailable the app downloads the public version file from GitHub Pages instead (GitHub may see your IP address). The check carries nothing about your child or your device. If a newer version exists, the app shows a notice, and the download button is behind a parent gate. You can turn this off in the grown-ups area ("Check for updates automatically").

Permissions

• Internet: only for the daily update check described above.
• Notifications (optional): used only for the gentle daily garden reminder, which is off by default. The permission is requested only when a grown-up turns the reminder on in the grown-ups area. The reminder is scheduled on the device; nothing is sent anywhere.
• Run at startup: lets the reminder be scheduled again after the phone restarts (only matters when the reminder is on).

The app requests no location, camera, microphone, contacts or storage access.

• Text-to-speech (a feature, not a permission): the app can read plant and visitor names and facts aloud using your device's built-in speech engine. Nothing is recorded.

Children

Magic Garden is designed for children aged 5 to 10. It contains no ads, no in-app purchases, no links out of the app (except the update download link, which is behind a parent gate) and no chat or social features, and it collects no personal information from anyone, including children. Settings, the reminder and progress are behind a parent gate. The game is designed for a few calm minutes a day: no streaks, no timers and no "come back or lose" pressure.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and publish the new version at the same address.
