מעבדת המפלצות (Monster Lab, Labo des monstres) is made by Magmanet. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: your data stays on your device, and we collect nothing.
We don't collect anything. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it collects no usage statistics. We never see, sell or share your data.
The app's settings (language, sounds, the computer's level, team size), the monsters in the lab (which parts and colours each one has, a number that makes its name, and how many battles it won), adventure stars and stickers are saved only on your device, in the app's private storage. Monsters never contain photos or typed text: names are made by the app. Everything is removed when you uninstall the app, and the grown-ups area can delete the monsters or start the adventure again.
The Copy backup feature (in the grown-ups area, behind the parent gate) copies these settings and monsters as text to your clipboard; the app never uploads it.
"Battle a friend nearby" and "Show a friend" connect phones in the same room directly: over the local Wi-Fi network (or one phone's hotspot), or, if a grown-up turns on "Also use Bluetooth", over a direct Bluetooth / Wi-Fi Direct link (Google Nearby Connections). The phones exchange only what the game needs: the nickname and emoji avatar each player chose, the monsters picked for a battle or to show (part ids, colour numbers and the name number), the moves chosen in each turn and five fixed cheer emoji (👏 😮 😂 💖 🎉). Nothing goes through a server and nothing reaches us. A friend can keep a copy of a monster you show them; it is saved only on their phone, marked as a friend's monster, and can't be shown or sent on. There is no chat, no free text other than the nickname, no camera and no photos.
Android asks for location permission before Bluetooth discovery on some versions. It is requested only if Bluetooth play is turned on (after a screen that explains why), and the app never reads, stores or sends your location.
The monster card can be shared as a picture with the phone's share sheet. This is behind the parent gate: a grown-up has to pass it first, and then chooses where the picture goes. The app itself sends nothing.
The game works without internet. The only time it goes online is the update check: once a day the app asks the Magmanet server (EU, Contabo) whether a newer version exists. The request contains only the app name, its version number and how it was installed (website / Google Play); the server counts checks per app and version in aggregate and stores no identifiers and no IP address. If the server is unavailable, the app downloads the public version file from GitHub Pages instead (GitHub may see your IP address, as with any download). The download button for an update is behind the parent gate. You can turn the check off in the grown-ups area ("Check for updates automatically").
מעבדת המפלצות is designed for children aged 6–12 and their families. It contains no ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts, no chat and no links out of the app (sharing a monster card and the update download link are behind a parent gate), and it collects no personal information from anyone, including children. The settings are behind a parent gate. Nicknames and monsters in a nearby game are seen only by the players in the same room.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and publish the new version at the same address.
