Privacy Policy — Steps to the Moon (צעדים לירח)
Last updated: 2026-10-31 · App: com.magmanet.moonwalk · Developer: Magmanet
English
Steps to the Moon lets a group of walkers log their steps on one phone and follow their progress on a map from
Earth to the Moon. Everything it saves stays on your phone.
What the app uses, and where it stays
- Walkers. The names (or nicknames) you type, a chosen avatar and each walker's stride length. Stored only in the
app's private storage on your phone.
- Steps. The step counts you log, by day. Stored only on your phone.
- Phone step counter (optional). Only if you turn on "Phone step counter" for one walker, the app reads the
phone's own step counter (Android "Physical activity" permission, iOS "Motion & Fitness") to add today's steps for
that walker. The count is processed and stored only on your phone. You can turn it off at any time, and the app
works fully without it.
- Group name (optional), language and display settings. Stored only on your phone.
What leaves the phone
- Nothing you enter. Walkers, names and steps are never sent to us or to anyone else. There is no server and no
account.
- Anonymous usage statistics (screens used and simple counters, with a random install ID) help us improve the
app. They never include names, steps or distances. You can turn them off in Settings.
- The daily update check asks our website whether a newer version exists.
- Sharing. If you tap "Share", the text (your distance and the app's link) goes only to the app you choose.
Deleting your data
Delete single step entries in the Log, remove a walker (with all of their steps), or use Settings → "Start over" to
delete everything. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored.
Children
The app is not directed at children. A parent may add their children as walkers by name or nickname; that
information stays on the phone.
