MotorQuest is made by Magmanet. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: your data stays on your device. MotorQuest collects nothing.
We don't collect anything. MotorQuest has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it collects no usage statistics. We never see, sell or share your data.
Player names, scores and levels, the lesson diary, voice notes, driving-plan progress and the practice log (sessions.csv) are saved only on your device, in the app's own folder (on Android, Android/data/com.magmanet.motorquest/files/, which you can copy over USB; on iPhone and iPad, the Files app under On My iPhone → MotorQuest). Uninstalling the app deletes them.
The Share button (for the therapist; a grown-up presses and holds it) hands a text report to the app you choose, for example email or WhatsApp. Nothing is sent unless you tap it, and where it goes is up to you.
MotorQuest works offline. On iPhone and iPad it never goes online: there is no update check, because the App Store handles updates. Its only internet request is the update check in release versions of the Android app (development builds skip it). Once a day the app checks for a newer version by asking the Magmanet server (EU, Contabo) — the request contains only the app name, its version number and how it was installed (site/Google Play); the server counts checks per app and version in aggregate, stores no identifiers and no IP address; if the server is unavailable the app downloads the public version file from GitHub Pages instead (GitHub may see your IP address). The check carries no identifiers and nothing about the child or the device. If a newer version exists, the app shows a notice, and its Update button first asks a grown-up a simple sum before opening the download link (or the store page).
The app asks for a permission only when you use the feature that needs it. You can say no and still use the rest of the app.
MotorQuest is made for children (and adults) with dyspraxia / developmental coordination disorder (DCD), to use alongside an occupational therapist or physiotherapist. It contains no ads, no in-app purchases, no chat or social features, and it collects no personal or health information from anyone, including children. Scores and diary entries describe practice and stay on the device.
MotorQuest is a practice aid, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or monitor any condition, and its scores, insights and "readiness" estimates (including the driving mock test) are not clinical or official assessments.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and publish the new version at the same address.
