Street Deals (עסקאות בשכונה) is made by Magmanet. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: there is no account and nothing about you is stored on our server; the places you search for are sent to the Magmanet server to get the deals; your saved searches stay on your phone; the app also sends anonymous usage statistics, which you can turn off.
The app does not ask for an email address, a phone number, a name, your contacts or your location. There is no advertising and no tracking. We never sell or share your data.
The deals are public data: the Israel Tax Authority's record of real-estate transactions, published as open data on odata.org.il (CC-BY licence) and loaded by the Magmanet server. For recent deals that are not in that data yet, the Magmanet server (not your phone) may ask the government map (govmap.gov.il) for the street or neighbourhood you searched; that request contains only the place name and comes from our server, not from your phone, so govmap does not see your IP address. These deals are marked "Recent – unofficial".
The app connects to the Magmanet server (EU, Contabo) for every search and for the place suggestions as you type. Once a day it also checks for a newer version by asking the Magmanet server — the request contains only the app name, its version number and how it was installed (site/Google Play/App Store); the server counts checks per app and version in aggregate, stores no identifiers and no IP address; if the server is unavailable the app downloads the public version file from GitHub Pages instead (GitHub may see your IP address). If a newer version exists, the app shows a notice and you choose whether to open the download link. You can turn this off in Settings ("Check for updates automatically").
The summary you share contains the place, the numbers shown and a link to the app's page on the Magmanet apps site (GitHub Pages). It is created on your phone and only goes where you send it.
Street Deals sends anonymous usage statistics over HTTPS (a short ping once a day; usage events a few times a day at most, batched) to Magmanet's own server, hosted in the EU (Contabo), not to Google, Apple or any other third party. It sends the app name and version, your operating system version, your phone's manufacturer and model (never the name you gave the phone), your language, how the app was installed, a random install ID, and anonymous usage events (which screens and features are used and for how long, for example that a search was made or shared). The random ID is made by the app when it is installed; it is not a device identifier. No search content is sent with the statistics: no cities, streets or prices.
On the server the ID is hashed and no IP address is stored. Raw data is deleted after 400 days. It is used only to count active users and improve the app, never for advertising or profiling, and it is never sold or shared.
This is on by default. You can turn it off in Settings ("Share anonymous usage statistics"). Turning it off stops sending immediately and deletes the random ID and any unsent usage events from your phone.
The information is shown as published and may be incomplete or wrong. It is for information only; verify with the official sources (the Tax Authority, nadlan.gov.il) before any decision. Street Deals is not an official government app.
The app has no access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or location, and sends no notifications.
Street Deals is a general-audience app and is not directed at children.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and publish the new version at the same address.
