Privacy Policy — משחקי חצר (Playground Games)

Last updated: 2026-11-07

משחקי חצר (Playground Games, Jeux de récré) is made by Magmanet. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: your data stays on your device, and we collect nothing.

What we collect

We don't collect anything. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it collects no usage statistics. We never see, sell or share your data.

Where your data is stored

The app's settings (language, sounds, each game's last options) and the optional list of kids' first names (used by the race timer and the team maker) are saved only on your device, in the app's private storage. Everything is removed when you uninstall the app. The grown-ups area (behind the parent gate) lets you edit or clear the names.

The Copy backup feature (in the grown-ups area) copies these settings as text to your clipboard; the app never uploads it.

Playing with phones nearby

"Phones nearby" connects phones in the same place directly: over the local Wi-Fi network (or one phone's hotspot), or, if a grown-up turns on "Also use Bluetooth", over a direct Bluetooth / Wi-Fi Direct link (Google Nearby Connections). The phones exchange only what the game needs: the nickname and emoji avatar each player chose, the game options, the hiding countdown, which hidden phones were found and when, the seeker's "chirp" requests, and the warm/cold hints. Nothing goes through a server, nothing reaches us, and nothing is kept after the game. There is no chat and no free text other than the nickname.

Android asks for location permission before Bluetooth discovery on some versions. It is requested only if Bluetooth play is turned on (after a screen that explains why), and the app never reads, stores or sends your location.

Internet use

The games work without internet. The only time the app goes online is the update check: once a day it asks the Magmanet server (EU, Contabo) whether a newer version exists. The request contains only the app name, its version number and how it was installed (website / Google Play); the server counts checks per app and version in aggregate and stores no identifiers and no IP address. If the server is unavailable, the app downloads the public version file from GitHub Pages instead (GitHub may see your IP address, as with any download). The download button for an update is behind the parent gate. You can turn the check off in the grown-ups area ("Check for updates automatically").

Permissions

Children

משחקי חצר is designed for children aged 4–12 and their families. It contains no ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts, no chat and no links out of the app (except the update download link, which is behind a parent gate), and it collects no personal information from anyone, including children. The settings are behind a parent gate. Nicknames in a nearby game are seen only by the players in the same place.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and publish the new version at the same address.
