Privacy Policy — Table Sports

Last updated: 2026-11-07

Table Sports (ספורט שולחן / Sports de table) is made by Magmanet. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: your data stays on your device.

What we collect

We don't collect anything. Table Sports has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it collects no usage statistics. We never see, sell or share your data.

Where your data is stored

The players you add (a first name or nickname and an animal emoji), their wins per game, the current tournament bracket and the settings (language, sounds, the robot level) are saved only on your device, in the app's private storage. Everything is removed when you uninstall the app, and players can be removed on the Players screen.

The app's Copy backup feature (grown-ups area → Your data) copies your data as text to your clipboard, so you can keep it somewhere you choose. Where you paste it is up to you; the app never uploads it.

Internet use

Table Sports works offline. The only time it goes online is the update check. Once a day the app checks for a newer version by asking the Magmanet server (EU, Contabo) — the request contains only the app name, its version number and how it was installed (site/Google Play); the server counts checks per app and version in aggregate, stores no identifiers and no IP address; if the server is unavailable the app downloads the public version file from GitHub Pages instead (GitHub may see your IP address). The check carries no identifiers and nothing about your child or your device. If a newer version exists, the app shows a notice and a grown-up (behind the grown-up check) chooses whether to open the download link. You can turn this off in the grown-ups area ("Check for updates automatically").

The Android "internet" permission is also needed for the direct local connection between two phones in the same room (see below); that connection never goes to the internet.

Playing on two phones: what is exchanged

When children play finger soccer, curling or penalties on phones next to each other, these go directly between those phones over the local Wi-Fi (or Bluetooth, if a grown-up turned it on), and nowhere else: the player name and emoji shown in the lobby, the host's game choice, and the moves of the game (each shot, the keeper's dive spot and the positions on the table). Nothing goes to the internet or to us, and nothing is kept on the other phone after the game.

Permissions

No camera, microphone, contacts or storage permissions.

Children

Table Sports is designed for children. It contains no ads, no in-app purchases, no links out of the app (except the update download link, which is behind a grown-up check) and no chat or social features, and it collects no personal information from anyone, including children. Names typed into the app stay on the device (and, during a game on two phones, the lobby name is shown on the other phone in the room). The grown-ups area, the update link and the Bluetooth option are behind a grown-up check (a multiplication beyond the 10 × 10 table).

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and publish the new version at the same address.
