Touch Typing (הקלדה עיוורת – לומדים להקליד) is made by Magmanet. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: your data stays on your device.
We don't collect anything. Touch Typing has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it collects no usage statistics. We never see, sell or share your data.
Profiles (the name you type, a picture chosen from a fixed list of emoji, kids mode, typing language and daily goal), progress (lesson stars, speed and accuracy history, per-key mistake counts, speed-test results, ghost-race runs, game scores and practice minutes per day) and settings (app language, on-screen keyboard, how keys are read, finger colours) are saved only on your device, in the app's private storage (in the browser's local storage when used on the web). Everything is removed when you uninstall the app (or clear the site's data in the browser). Deleting a profile deletes its progress.
The app's Copy backup feature (Settings → Your data) copies your data as text to your clipboard, so you can keep it somewhere you choose. Where you paste it is up to you; the app never uploads it.
The app reads the keys you press only to check them against the practice text, on the device. Nothing you type is stored as text, sent anywhere or used for anything else.
When a grown-up taps "Share certificate" and passes the parent gate, the app creates a picture of the certificate on the device (the profile name, speed, accuracy and date) and opens the device's share sheet with it and a short text with a link to the app's page. Nothing is sent unless you choose an app and send it yourself.
Touch Typing works entirely offline. The only time it goes online is the update check (Android). Once a day the app checks for a newer version by asking the Magmanet server (EU, Contabo) — the request contains only the app name, its version number and how it was installed (site/Google Play); the server counts checks per app and version in aggregate, stores no identifiers and no IP address; if the server is unavailable the app downloads the public version file from GitHub Pages instead (GitHub may see your IP address). The check carries no identifiers and nothing about the learner or the device. If a newer version exists, the app shows a notice and a grown-up (behind the parent gate) chooses whether to open the download link. You can turn this off in Settings ("Check for updates automatically").
When you use the web version, your browser downloads the app from the website that hosts it, like any web page.
Touch Typing's only permission is internet access, used just for the daily update check described above. It requests no location, camera, microphone, contacts or storage access.
Touch Typing is made for children and adults. It contains no ads, no in-app purchases, no chat or social features and no links out of the app except the update download link and the certificate share sheet, both behind a parent gate. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children; profile names never leave the device.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and publish the new version at the same address.
