- בוחרים מדינה ומטבע שלכם, וכותבים כמה אתם רוצים או כמה יש לכם.
- הדירוג משווה בנק, צ'יינג' מורשה, דואר, דלפק בשדה התעופה ביציאה וביעד, צ'יינג' בעיר ביעד, כספומט בחו"ל, כרטיס אשראי וכרטיס רב מטבעי.
- לכל שורה: כמה תשלמו או תקבלו, השער בפועל עם העמלות, וההפרש מול המקום הראשון ומול שער הייחוס.
בלי לבלבל בין סוגי המידע
- הצעה אמיתית: שער שקיבלתם והזנתם בעצמכם.
- שער שפורסם: מה שמקור ציבורי הציג, עם שם המקור, קישור ושעת הבדיקה. הכיסוי חלקי.
- הערכה: כשאין שער שפורסם. שער הייחוס ועליו מרווח משוער, שמוצג וניתן לעריכה, עם המקורות במסך "איך אנחנו מעריכים".

מצלמים לוח שערים או קבלה, הטקסט נקרא בטלפון עצמו, ואתם מאשרים או מתקנים כל מספר לפני השימוש. אפשר גם להקליד הכול ידנית.

תשלום במטבע מקומי במסופים, עמלות קבועות על סכומים קטנים, הפסד על שארית מזומן, וסף הכדאיות שבו אפשרות אחת עוקפת אחרת.

Travelling abroad and need your destination's currency? Change Scanner compares the ways to get it and shows where your money goes furthest.
- Choose a country and your own currency, and type how much you want or how much you have.
- The ranking compares a bank, a licensed money changer, the post office, airport booths on departure and arrival, a city changer abroad, an ATM abroad, a credit card and a multi-currency card.
- Each line shows what you pay or get, the effective rate with fees, and the difference against the first place and the reference rate.
Never mixing up kinds of information
- Real quote: a rate you got and entered yourself.
- Published rate: what a public source showed, with its name, a link and the time it was fetched. Coverage is partial.
- Estimate: when there is no published rate. The reference rate plus an assumed margin, shown and editable, with sources on the "How we estimate" screen.
Scan rates
Photograph a rate board or receipt. The text is read on the phone itself, and you confirm or correct every number before it is used. You can also type everything by hand.
What else changes the answer
Paying in local currency at terminals, flat fees on small amounts, the loss on leftover cash, and the amount at which one option overtakes another.
