Live Captions helps you talk with someone who is hard of hearing, or follow a conversation when hearing is hard for you. Tap one button, and speech appears live as huge, clear text.

• Truly big text: adjustable up to very large, black on white or white on black, and the screen stays on.
• Proper Hebrew: right to left, even with numbers, times and English words in the middle. English too, a language switch, and other languages your phone supports.
• Scrolls by itself: new words are always at the bottom. Pause to catch up while words keep being collected.
• Flip for the person opposite: one tap turns the text 180°.
• Typing: the person who is hard of hearing types, and the text is shown big or said aloud. Quick phrases such as "Could you speak more slowly?", and you can add your own.
• Keeps listening: phones stop recognition after short pauses, and the app starts it again at once.
• Saved only if you choose: conversations are kept only if you turn that on, only on your phone, with delete for one or all.

Good to know:

• The app uses your phone's speech recognition. On many phones this can send audio to Google or Apple. It prefers on-device recognition where possible and always shows which mode is active. You can also choose "On-device only".
• Captions may contain errors. Do not rely on them for medical, legal or emergency matters. The app is not a medical device and does not replace an interpreter.
• Words spoken at the exact moment recognition restarts may be missed.
