Solidra CAD

Solidra CAD is a parametric 3D modeler for tablets. Draw a 2D sketch, give it dimensions and relations, turn it into a solid, and change any dimension later: the whole part rebuilds.

SKETCH

• Lines, rectangles, circles, arcs and construction geometry, by touch
• Dimensions and relations: horizontal, vertical, parallel, perpendicular, equal, tangent and more
• A live count of the degrees of freedom left in the sketch
• Sketch on any flat face of your part

MODEL

• Extrude, cut, and revolve around an axis
• Primitives: box, cylinder, sphere, cone and torus
• Linear pattern, circular pattern and mirror
• A feature tree with suppress, delete, reorder and roll back, plus undo and redo

PARAMETERS

• Named parameters such as width = 80 and hole_d = width / 10, usable in every dimension
• Expressions, functions such as sqrt and sin, and units such as mm, cm, in and deg

INSPECT AND EXPORT

• Live mass, volume, surface area and center of mass, with a materials library
• Standard views, feature edges and X-ray
• Export to STL and OBJ, for example for 3D printing
• Export to G-code for three-axis CNC mills: roughing and finishing with flat or ball end mills, a time estimate, and warnings for what the tool can't reach

GOOD TO KNOW

• The app is built for tablets, and its screens are in English.
• The G-code has not been tried on a real machine. Check every new program in a simulator, then run it once in the air above the stock. Your feeds and speeds depend on your material and machine.
