אטלייהAtelier

Atelier is a sketch pad for artists: for life drawing, drawing classes and daily practice, on a phone or a tablet with a stylus.

Media that feel real

• Pencil, charcoal, chalk, ink pen, marker, airbrush and watercolour, each with its own tip and texture, on a paper grain that leaves air in the line.
• Stylus pressure sets size and opacity, and tilt lets you shade with the side of a pencil, charcoal or chalk.
• Smudge, a hard and a soft eraser. Every brush has size, opacity, flow and stroke smoothing.
• The marker builds up by multiplying, and watercolour builds up in transparent washes.

Layers and undo

• Up to 10 layers (fewer on very large canvases), with opacity, hide, lock, duplicate, merge and reorder.
• Blend modes: normal, multiply, screen and overlay.
• Dozens of undo and redo steps, also with a two- and three-finger tap.

Reference and measuring

• Photograph the pose or the still life, or pick a picture. It stays inside the app, out of your gallery.
• A floating panel you can move and resize, or a faded underlay that is never exported.
• Proportion grid, plumb line, an angle tool you can carry over to the canvas, greyscale and 3- or 5-value studies.
• Pick colours from the canvas and from the reference.

Pose timer

• Ready sessions: 10×1 min gesture warm-up, 5×2, 4×5, one 20-minute pose, a classic session, or your own sequence.
• A big countdown, a chime and a buzz between poses, pause and skip, and a new page for every pose.

Guides

• Ruler, 1-, 2- and 3-point perspective with draggable vanishing points, symmetry, and 7.5- or 8-head figure proportion lines.
• Pause at the end of a stroke to make it a straight line.
• Flip the view to check proportions, rotation that snaps upright, and palm rejection when you draw with a stylus.

Portfolio and export

• Drawings are grouped by session and saved automatically.
• Export full-resolution PNG (transparent too), JPG, PDF of a drawing or a whole session, and a time-lapse GIF.
• Optional PIN lock.

No ads, no purchases, no account. Your drawings are never uploaded. Hebrew and English, dark mode.
